Only the other week I tried porting everything over from my LJ directly but unfortunately that not only destroyed the legibility of anything with umlauts and sundry; it also seemingly ate all my tags. As a result I’m going to slowly be selectively backdating things from my LJ with all their extra details. The only problem there is that it’s probably going to take some time but there we go. Thus the explanation. I like my tags and my layout so until I get those things up and running I’m probably not likely to be using this quite so actively.

And a new demotivational poster which just about sets the tone of things of late.
This track also reminds me of Metropolis, in particular that scene where Freder falls to his knees in front of the machine that eats workers, for some reason.

I seem to have lost my ability to have regular conversations. I can discourse theory at people, I can even cite all my sources verbally but somehow I can’t quite seem to have basic conversations anymore. Though I can find the compulsion to yell about the Euro 2008 qualifiers at least. Turkey are playing Moldova next month and they’d better win.

In other news I have this from Turkey at least. It’s instant pomegranate tea but it did indeed come in baggies and was a pale pink powdery substance which was amusing enough. But then Turkey also lost Wednesday’s match 2:0 to Romania so who knows what that portends.

And just in case I forget again; a double drabble I wrote while drunk. I write far too many of them really, though the last Naoji one came out almost looking like a haiku.

I’d thought earlier that I’d be entirely forgiving of icon thieves but having come across yet another one of my edited icons in use somewhere else with no credit; it’s actually starting to annoy me. I don’t even do much more than colourise, airbrush or change light density a little and add boarders so you’d think these people could just do that themselves rather than stealing mine instead. But apparently not. Trinity Blood Forum and unspecified multi-fandom RP; I’m looking at you.

Asking would be polite but credit would be acceptable. Or are manners truly a thing of the past in this day and age? I’m beginning to suspect that they are.
Humanity really is beginning to disgust me again in those lovely little increments that remind me that polite daily conduct is too fucking hard for some people.

And as per my last post on the matter; icon very deliberately used for this one.

Still being embroiled in the process of Thing & Stuff as well as porting my LJ contents over to IJ I’ve finally managed to sort myself out and upload all my Trinity Blood fics to Sunsets. Well, not all of them exactly but the majority that I don’t have to think twice about. Slowly I’ll get round to posting all my Meine Liebe fiction over there too and my Saikyuki content too.
I’m still going to post notification of new fics being uploaded to LJ and IJ using Semagic, which I’m still occasionally forgetting to use, at least for the moment. Though I am tempted to just forgo the notifications too and shift my journal use back to my usual ramble and original fiction uploads. It probably won’t happen but it certainly is tempting since Sunsets has character indexes etc which just make things so much easier and I do get to warn for things like ‘gay necrophilia’ though not in those exact words. In fact at least three of the new warnings there are due to Trinity Blood content which amuses me greatly. And nekonexus is the sort of webmaster people dream of having run the show.

Still, in lieu of any current decisions I do have new Trinity Blood fic here featuring Süleyman and his penchant for pinning butterflies to walls.

The other matter that I was going to address was theft of a vaguely artistic sort. I’m not talking groundbreaking publishable ideas even but just basic things that could do with the application of a little courtesy. I can’t stop anyone swiping anything found online of course but just for the sake of courtesy I’d like it if icon thieves and sundry would at least consider just giving my ability to airbrush out inconveniences a little credit. Because considering my visual recall, which is of a great deal of use in handling katakana and so on; I can recognise things like that quite readily when seen elsewhere.

Glancing over bad_rpers_suck in an attempt at cohesive procrastination today I came upon this post about problems in an RP where just about everybody was joining up with the bad guys rather than picking the other side. The question there posed being mostly; why?

Having actually bought a permanent account over on Insane Journal, I’m starting to actively copy entries over and systematically clear out excess rubbish on LJ. Which may really work out cheaper in the long-run anyway... or not depending on what I eventually do. My IJ account is paid and that’s done anyway. There’s even a Triniy Blood community over there now just in case any of the sudden sorts of fascinating discussions that have stated up around Meine Liebe occur for Trinity Blood as well. And there’s a Meine Liebe community too.
But regardless of what I do over time it will be handy to have a permanent account somewhere which, unlike LJ’s permanent accounts, will pay for itself in under five years. Though just how permanent permanent will turn out to be might prove an interesting sort of experiment to keep my eye on in the future.
